VoroCrust with dfn Fractures

dfnWorks fracture surfaces

These 2D fractures were generated with dfnWorks software.
There are 2 examples of fractures for testing, a single fracture and a set of 4 fractures.

VoroCrust Inputs with 1 fracture

There are 2 versions of the bounding box.
1. is a hanging fracture, the fracture is connected on 3 sides to the bounding box, but not on the fourth side.
VoroCrust was unable to mesh this version.
2. the fracture is merged with the bounding box on all sides.
Though the box is aligned with the fracture where they merge, they are not connected.
VoroCrust successfully meshed this version.

There are 2 versions of the bounding box.
1. has fractures floating, the fractures are not connected to the bounding box.
VoroCrust was unable to mesh this version.
2. the fracture is merged with the bounding box on all sides, but some fractures do not reach the box and are hanging.
VoroCrust was unable to mesh this version.

VoroCrust Voronoi Meshing

The only example that is successful at this time is the 1 fracture touching the box on all sides.
None of the versions with hanging or floating 2D fractures was successful.
